I just wanted to point out that two of our small towns in Indianapolis have done a good job of making entryways into their community attractive.
The town of Speedway has a very attractive entry along Crawfordsville Road. This may have been done in conjunction with the folks at the Indy 500. I don’t know, but it looks wonderful.
The town of Beech Grove spent quite a bit of money over the last couple years making their approach along Emerson Avenue very attractive. I have to give the designer of that project lots of praise for turning a very ugly concrete wall along Amtrak into a very attractive, integrated part of the overall design using just some nice fencing, concrete surfacing material and paint.
Give them a look. I think you’ll agree.
