Brownsburg is missing a grand, and rare, opportunity for a new urban park edge along the town’s north entry gateway, Green Street [Brownsburg attracts $4.8M office project as part of bigger plans for downtown, IBJ.com, Oct. 4].
Blocking the park off with this kind of misplaced and questionable development will only perpetuate the already lack of good planning that exists in the ’Burg.
A grand park entry, along the entry corridor, with the new apartment and retail planned for the east side of Green Street, could have actually made a real urban design statement. Unfortunately, it looks like the same-old, same-old, short-sighted thinking instead.
