The MIBOR Realtor Association on Thursday announced that Shelley Specchio will become CEO on Feb. 1, succeeding the retiring Steve Sullivan, who took the job in 1990.
Specchio is the CEO of the Northern Nevada Regional Multiple Listing Service, a 3,000-member group she had led since 2008. She was involved nationally in both the MLS and the Realtor Association arena, serving as the 2015 president of the Council of Multiple Listing Services and on the National Association of Realtors Board of Directors.
“The nationwide search for our new CEO presented us with many excellent candidates, and the decision was not easy,” said Roger Lundy, 2016 MIBOR president, in a written statement. “Shelley was the clear choice with her impressive background, knowledge and her respect for the real estate industry.”
The MIBOR Realtor Association, formerly known as the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors, represents 7,500 members in the 12-county area.
Sullivan joined MIBOR after 17 years as vice president of finance and operations at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
