fast-growing startup businesses in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield and the rest of Hamilton County.
The
not-for-profit EAC will operate independently of the alliance under the leadership of Executive Director Cathy Langlois and
a board of area business leaders. It began as a Hamilton County Alliance program, but the spinoff will allow the EAC to expand
its mission and seek private and public grant money. It also plans to partner with secondary schools in Hamilton County to
introduce entrepreneurship to students.
“The future economic health of Hamilton County will rely on two factors:
first, our ability to attract and retain large employers, and secondly, our ability to grow new companies,” Langlois
said. “The EAC will provide much-needed resources and support for these growing companies.”
