The 6-year-old company—which currently has 10 local employees and five employees working remotely around the world—said it will expand into a 3,500-square-foot space at its current headquarters building at 9247 N. Meridian St.
The company said the new workers on average are expected to earn more than double the state's average wage, which is about $21.21 per hour. That's about $88,000 per year for fulltime positions.
250ok—led by Greg Kraios, an early ExactTarget employee—has tripled its revenue annually since 2013. The firm develops email-management software that helps clients improve consumer engagement and deliverability. Its name is derived from the positive response computer servers send when they communicate with each other.
The new positions will be in marketing, technology, and product and account management.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered 250ok up to $150,000 in training grants and up to $850,000 in tax credits based on the job-jcreation plans. The tax incentives are performance-based, meaning the company can't claim them until job goals are met.
"As the son of an immigrant factory worker whose company nearly shipped their jobs to Mexico, I have a deeply personal mission to continue pushing our state into the future,” said Kraios, 250ok's founder and CEO. “Combining top-level talent, low operational overhead and financial support from the IEDC is a proven model for success, and 250ok is proud to be included in that movement."
The company's chief technology officer is Ryan Pfenninger, a 2017 IBJ Forty Under 40 honoree.
