the center’s artistic director.
Steven Libman is the Carmel Performing Arts Center’s incoming executive director.
He said today that Feinstein has signed a contract to become artistic director. Libman says contract details will be released
Sept. 25.
Messages seeking comment were left with Feinstein spokesman Dan Fortune.
Feinstein gained
fame in 1988 with a one-man Broadway show "Isn’t It Romantic: Michael Feinstein in Concert."
He already
has announced plans to move the headquarters of his Feinstein Foundation for the Education and Preservation of The Great American
Songbook to Carmel.
