Southwest adds nonstop season flight to central Texas

Southwest Airlines plans to add weekly nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Austin, Texas, starting in April, the carrier announced Monday.

The seasonal flights to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will depart Indianapolis International Airport on Sundays at 4:20 p.m. starting April 8.

Southwest’s new seasonal nonstop flight will expand passengers’ opportunities to connect with the central Texas region.

Until this year, Austin was one of the Indy airport’s top five unserved markets. Allegiant Airlines launched its inaugural flight to Austin in May.
