The purchase of Primescape Solutions, based in Herndon, Virginia, closed at the end of last week, a spokeswoman told IBJ. The firms declined to reveal financial terms of the deal.
Both firms are in the business of improving connections between governments and residents. Founded in 2006, HighPoint focuses on services such as customer service training, quality assurance and IT infrastructure support. Founded in 1998, Primescape provides expertise in digital strategies, software development and data management.
HighPoint touts its appearances on several media lists for fast-growing companies. Forbes magazine ranked it 16th on its 2015 list of America’s Most Promising Companies. At the time, HighPoint’s annual revenue was $95.5 million, and the firm had 208 employees, according to Forbes.
"This acquisition allows us to provide our clients with end-to-end services across all citizen touchpoints so they can better serve and interact with citizens and government employees in more personalized and effective ways,” said HighPoint founder and CEO Ben Lanius in a media release.
HighPoint, which in addition to its Indianapolis headquarters has operations in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., areas, has 225 employees, according to the firm. Primescape has 125 employees.
Asked if any of the Primescape positions would be eliminated, the spokeswoman said both firms are operating “business as usual.”
“As we integrate, we will compare current operating models, organizations, and best practices at both companies before implementing any changes,” said Kim Miller, director of marketing and corporate communications for HighPoint.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of HighPoint, Primescape will continue to operate out of Herndon.
HighPoint’s federal customers include the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Primescape Solutions’ federal customers include the Treasury, Department of Health and Human Services, Defense Logistics Agency, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. and the State Department.
