Its last day will be Sunday.
The business, which serves a wide variety of drinks made with its own artisanal spirits and liquors as well as a limited menu of appetizers and entrees, opened at 643 Massachusetts Ave. in February 2016.
The science-themed distillery and tasting room is owned by Thomas Wysocki, a chemist, and his wife, Heather Finfrock, an engineer.
Drinks at the 3,400-square-foot distillery are served in chemistry-lab-styled containers resembling beakers and test tubes. The business also sold its own spirits and liquors by the bottle.
“To All of our Science Nerds and Fine Folks. We have given it our best but we are sad to say we must close the doors,” the Facebook post said. “Our last day will be Sunday Jan 28th. Please come in for 1/2 price bottles, $3 Rum&mixer, and other specials between now and then.”
