Owners Scott and Nyla Wolf have purchased the recently-closed LakeHouse at Geist restaurant property at 11699 Fall Creek Road. They are in the process of renovating the building, with the intent to reopen it as a Wolfie’s.
The new owners have not yet set an opening date for the location.
In a written statement, the Wolfs said the new Wolfie’s will include an outdoor beer garden, entertainment and “ample space” for boat parking. The property has one of the largest dining decks in the Indianapolis area.
“There’s so much promise in this community,” Nyla Wolf said. “We’re just excited to get started.”
The Wolfs opened their first Wolfie’s in 2004, on Morse Reservoir in Noblesville. Since then, they have added Wolfie’s sites in Carmel, Fishers and Westfield. The couple also owns the Italian House restaurant in Westfield.
Wolfie’s, a self-described “Northern woods grill,” has a menu that includes chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, salads, seafood and more.
A number of other restaurants have operated at the Geist Reservoir site over the years.
LakeHouse at Geist closed in recent weeks after about a year in business. Before that, the property was home to Bella Vita Ristorante from 2005 to 2013 and Bella Vita Lakeside Grill from 2013 until the end of 2016.
The Bella Vita restaurants were founded and operated by Henri and Shelly Najem, who sold the business to Jack Singh and his brother, Shaan, in 2014. The Singhs converted Bella Vita into the LakeHouse last February after a month-long renovation.
The location also housed the Blue Heron Restaurant for about a decade, starting in the mid-1990s.
