The heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractor has acquired DP Mechanical Services, a 12-year-old plumbing and mechanical contractor based at 5302 English Ave. on the city’s east side. The sale closed April 30. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Rob Van, president of Comfort Systems USA Indiana, said all 11 of DP Mechanical’s employees and owner Don Glowinski will join the combined business, boosting total employment to about 75.
“DP Mechanical Services brings highly talented individuals and an expansive customer list,” Van said in written comments. “The acquisition deepens our footprint in the Indianapolis market and positions Comfort Systems USA Indiana for growth.”
Comfort Systems in June acquired Compton Mechanical Systems Inc., a 35-year-old Indianapolis-based contractor with 30 employees.
Comfort Systems USA Indiana is based at 2701 Fortune Circle Drive East, near interstates 465 and I-70 on the city’s southwest side.
Comfort Systems USA is a 21-year-old publicly traded company that more than 70 subsidiary businesses throughout the United States. It reported $1.79 billion in revenue in 2017 and a profit of more than $55 million.
