The only previous nonstop flight from Indianapolis to San Diego was a seasonal flight offered last year by Southwest Airlines from June 4 to Aug. 14.
“San Diego was our top unserved destination until last year when a seasonal nonstop flight was announced,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez in written comments. “But San Diego has still been underserved, and now Frontier is resolving that need with a second nonstop flight that will run year-round.”
The Indianapolis airport also offers nonstop flights to West Coast destinations Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco and Seattle.
Frontier also offers nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, Philadelphia, Fort Myers, Tampa and Austin.
