the start of work on a $650,000 project to replace its landmark fountain.
Neighborhood leaders, city officials
and residents are expected to attend. By November, a reproduction of Lady Spray, the statue that topped the Square’s
first fountain, should be installed. The “Pioneer Family” sculpture, which currently sits atop the fountain,
will be moved temporarily to Garfield Park before returning to the neighborhood at another location.
