In a notice to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development received Wednesday, the suburban Chicago-based company said it was closing the center at 6648 S. Perimeter Road after the “unexpected and sudden termination of Andy Frain Services’ contract with FedEx for security services at the location.”
The company said it would begin the employee terminations in the week prior to the Sept. 30 closing. Most of the employees are licensed security guards and supervisors.
Andy Frain said another vendor is taking over the security operations and is likely to hire many of the terminated employees.
Andy Frain Services was founded in 1924 to provide ushers at Chicago Stadium hockey games. Today it provides safety and security services at hundreds of sites throughout the country.
