Notice of the closure was posted Thursday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
The Southfield, Michigan-based automotive aftermarket parts distributor said it would close the facility at 8325 N. Norfolk St. over the next six months as part of an effort “to realign its North American distribution network to meet customer needs within the North American automotive market.”
The company said employee terminations would begin in the third quarter and end in the first quarter next year.
The terminations involve 73 hourly and 10 salaried employees, the company said.
Federal-Mogul Motorparts is a division of Southfield-based global supplier Federal-Mogul, which has 53,000 employees worldwide
