The company, founded last year by brothers Alex and Reed Smith, is based in co-working space at The Speak Easy at 47 S. Meridian St., but is shopping for a new office downtown.
Reed Smith formerly was vice president of marketing and eCommerce for Kipp Brothers parent Novelty Inc. Alex Smith was vice president of sales and marketing for SteadyServ Technologies in Carmel, cofounded Vendor2Member and was a merchandise manager at Do It Best Corp.
The Indiana Department of Economic Development has offered the company up to $350,000 in tax credits and $50,000 in trainings grants. The incentives are conditional on the company’s ability to reach hiring goals.
Spur Interactiv said it would spend $352,000 to establish its downtown headquarters.
“We are excited to be entrusted to use the incentives offered from the IEDC to expand our team and train top-tier digital marketers who dedicate themselves to helping other businesses in the region thrive,” Reed Smith said in written remarks.
