Vop Osili said he’ll hold media events in October in Marion, Allen and Clark counties to announce
his candidacy. Osili said his agenda will focus on improving the election process, streamlining the business-registration
process and combating securities fraud.
Current Republican Secretary of State Todd Rokita won’t be running in next
year’s election. He can’t seek a third term because of term limits.
Osili might face opposition from Carmel attorney
Tom McKenna, who worked for eight years under Democratic governors and has created an exploratory committee for a possible
Democratic bid.
Republican Fishers councilman Charlie White has said he’ll run for the office.
