Bioanalytical Systems said May 1 it purchased Smithers Avanza Toxicology Services in suburban Washington, D.C. The price was not disclosed.
Bioanalytical Systems was founded by Peter Kissinger, professor of analytical chemistry at Purdue University, in his garage in the mid-1970s.•
