As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowEric Feldman, an on-air reporter at WISH-TV Channel 8, announced over the weekend that he has left the local station to move to St. Louis.
Feldman joined WISH in May 2017 and has served as a general assignment reporter, often covering the crime beat. His last day at WISH was Thursday, he said on social media.
Feldman said he made the move to be closer to Jenn Sullivan, the morning anchor at NBC affiliate KSDK-TV in St. Louis. He also hinted that he had a new job lined up.
“As you may know, I have been in a long-distance relationship for my two years in Indy…” Feldman said on Facebook. “Now is the time for us to start the next chapter of our lives together, in one city. It’s a move I am so excited for. It is one that is rooted in my personal life but one that I look forward to professionally as well. … Soon, I’ll be able to share the next steps in my career.”
Feldman previously worked for WICS-TV in Springfield, Illinois, and at KVRR-TV in Fargo, North Dakota.
The New York City native graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
WISH and sister station WNDY-TV Channel 23 were recently sold for $42.5 million by Texas-based Nexstar Media Group Inc. to Circle City Broadcasting LLC, a new company based in Indianapolis. The deal is expected to close this year.
