Subscribe NowAs a cancer patient, I consider myself blessed to be treated by excellent doctors in a country that leads the world in medical innovation. Without modern medical advancements like the CT/PET scans, MRIs, and other imaging tools, I would almost certainly not be alive today.
That’s why I’m grateful a fellow Hoosier, congresswoman Jackie Walorski, is joining with other members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to introduce the Protect Medical Innovation Act. The bill would repeal the medical device tax, which threatens future innovations that could save lives and pave the way for more effective treatments for patients like me.
While I continue living scan to scan, I feel immense gratitude towards congresswoman Walorski and her colleagues for fighting a different but equally important battle in the halls of Congress. By implementing a full repeal of the device tax, our representatives can help ensure that cancer patients like me will continue to have ready access to the latest and most effective medical technology.
