team.
The Fever lost to the Phoenix Mercury last week in the WNBA Finals.
A letter to the fans posted this
week on the team’s Web site — signed by owner and CEO Herb Simon, president Jim Morris and general manager Kelly Krauskopf
— says the team is looking forward to another great season in 2010 and for many years to come.
Team officials
have said the Fever had lost money each year of their existence, and attendance would have to increase significantly for
the team to be safe. The letter noted that the Fever set a WNBA playoffs record for average attendance.
