Greensburg in running for Honda service firm, 400 jobs

A company that services Honda Motor Co. plants is considering Greensburg and at least one other Indiana site for an expansion that would create 400 jobs, according to the Greensburg Daily News.

Vicki Kellerman, who heads economic development in the city between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, said several states are competing for the company in one of the most intense attraction projects she has been involved with.

On March 19, the Japanese automaker officially broke ground on the $550 million Greensburg plant, which will open in fall 2008 and employ 2,000 making the Civic compact.
