Profit for WellPoint Inc. increased 16 percent, to $783.1 million, from the same period a year earlier, the Indianapolis-based health insurer said today.
CEO Larry Glasscock attributed the results to “outstanding” commercial enrollment growth of 586,000 additional national account members.
