Inside, where WellPoint shareholders gathered for their annual meeting, outgoing CEO Larry C. Glasscock showed a video titled “Why We’re Here.” He said the Indianapolis health insurer aims “to improve lives and the health of our communities.”

After the meeting Glasscock answered several questions from three protesters, who had attended the meeting because they own WellPoint stock.
