Indianapolis law firm Ice Miller LLP has expanded its presence in DuPage County, Ill., and is staffing its new office there with 14 attorneys absorbed from another practice in suburban Chicago.

The lawyers from Wildman Harrold in Lisle bring a broad base of experience and represent a diverse clientele, including Fortune 500 companies, private businesses, universities, hospitals, and municipalities and government entities.

In addition, partner Bob Schillerstrom, who had staffed Ice Miller’s existing office in Naperville, will move to the Lisle location.

With a population approaching 1 million, DuPage County is the second-largest county in Illinois and one of the fastest growing. Lisle is bordered to the west by Naperville, the state’s fourth-largest city. In 2006, Money magazine ranked the burg as the second-best place to live in the United States.

Ice Miller, Indianapolis’ largest law firm, already has a Chicago presence. Its growth in the suburbs will enable the firm to expand its practice and serve a broader client base, said Byron Myers, Ice Miller’s managing partner.

The firm also has an office in Washington, D.C., and a total of more than 250 lawyers.
