Subscribe NowCabela’s, the outdoor-goods retailer that recently announced plans for a Greenwood store, has had to repay or forfeit nearly $350,000 in incentives it received from governmental entities in Texas because it failed to hire as many workers as promised at two stores there, according to the Austin Business Journal. Cabela’s has said it will hire 220 workers for a Greenwood store slated to open in the fall of 2008. The city plans to issue $18 million in bonds to help finance the store.
