Haverstick Consulting Inc. plans to expand, hiring 40 new employees by 2011 and relocating its corporate offices from Carmel to Indianapolis in the meantime, according to state economic development officials.
The firm will move to consolidate office space with its parent company, Stephen Hilbert’s private equity firm MH Equity, on the west side of Indianapolis. Haverstick, which employs about 600 nationwide, including 70 in Indianapolis, is an information-technology consulting and government-contracting firm.
The average pay for the new jobs will be about $40 per hour, said Mitch Frazier, with the Indiana Economic Development Corp., which offered Haverstick $30,000 in training grants. Other tax incentives were provided by the city.
Officials did not know Haverstick would make its move to Indianapolis.
