Subscribe NowMartin University will hold a series of receptions for the public to meet the four candidates who are finalists for the presidency of the school. Boniface Hardin, founding president, is stepping aside Dec. 31.
The four are Algeania Freeman, president of Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C.; Walter Howard, vice president for academic affairs and student development services at Allen University in Columbia, S.C.; Lelia Vickers, a 35-year veteran of higher education at various institutions; and Bernice Bass de Martinez, chair of the special education, rehabilitation, school psychology and deaf students department at California State University at Sacramento.
The public meetings will be Oct. 1-4 on the Martin University campus.
