Three finalists have emerged for the CEO position at the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library, the trustees announced today.

They include:

-interim CEO Laura Bramble, who has worked within the Indianapolis-Marion County system in capacities including chief operating officer and directed the Avon-Washington Township Public Library.

-City-County Councilwoman Jacqueline Nytes. A former chief financial officer of the library, she also has served as head of the Carmel Clay Public Library.

-The area resource manager of the system’s south region of branch facilities, Michael Williams. Williams is a 25-year veteran of the system, also having managed the West Indianapolis and Shelby branches.

The candidates are scheduled to meet the public Oct.27 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The session will be at the College Avenue branch at 4180 N. College Ave.

Former CEO Linda Mielke left the post in January after being passed over for a job to lead a library system in Kansas.
