Newmar makes motorhomes and fifth wheel recreational vehicles. Other RV companies announcing layoffs recent in the Elkhart area include Travel Supreme and Monaco Coach, both of which shed workers in Wakarusa.
“When things slow down, it’s a pretty big domino effect,” Nappanee Mayor Larry Thompson told the newspaper.
