Purdue University’s colleges of engineering and technology each will receive $1.1 million in planned gifts from 1976 engineering graduate Rick Kosdrosky and his wife, Cheryl.

The donations, announced today, are unrestricted, which means the colleges will be able to use them as they wish. The pledges will be paid when the couple dies.

Both Rick and Cheryl Kosdrosky are engineers at Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas. Rick Kosdrosky is program manager of the classified development program for the Special Projects F-35 Joint Fighter.

Cheryl Kosdrosky, who leads software development of the airplane’s cockpit data entry systems, is a graduate of Tarrant County College in Fort Worth.
