As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowLake Cities Broadcasting Corp. in the northeastern Indiana city of Angola is selling its five radio stations, according to The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne.
Buying the stations for $3.8 million is Swick Broadcasting Corp. Lake Cities President Tom Andrews is retiring, but plans to offer engineering help on a part-time basis.
The stations include WLKI-FM 100.3 in Angola; WTHD-FM 105.5, a country station in LaGrange; and WLZZ-FM 104.5, a country station in Montpelier, Ohio.
Two stations in Sturgis, Mich., also were included in the sale: WMSH-FM 99.3, which has an oldies format; and WMSH-AM 1230, an ESPN sports station.
The sale price does not include land, which was a separate transaction.
The radio deal must be approved by the Federal Communications Commission.
