Subscribe NowWest Terre Haute-based Marion Manufacturing said it plans to spend $2 million to expand its operations and more than double its work force by 2011. The woman-owned business provides machining services to heavy-equipment makers like Illinois-based Caterpillar, as well as automotive, aerospace, agriculture and medical clients.
The company employs 35 and expects to hire another 47 machinists, engineers and quality technicians beginning next year.
The manufacturer is slated to receive more than $200,000 in tax credits and grants from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. as well as property-tax abatement from the town of West Terre Haute.
