Parkview Health and Lutheran Health Network created the network with Fort Wayne Neurological Center, according to Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly. Called StrokeCareNow, the network plans to offer stroke victims the speedy care critical to helping them recover.
Outlying facilities would be hooked up with X-ray, video and other technology that could be analyzed by the Fort Wayne locations. Patients needing higher-level care could be taken to the Fort Wayne sites.
Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola and Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur are among facilities that plan to meet June 4 to learn more about the project.
Backers hope the network begins operating by the end of the year.
