Subscribe NowStartup software developer Compendium Blogware said today it has raised $1.6 million in private funding. The downtown company’s third round of funding, which targeted $1.5 million, closed in just three weeks.
The latest round included eight new investors, bringing the total to 40.
Compendium’s software is aimed at simplifying blogging for companies and organizations. Added recently to its base of 150 client organizations are Indianapolis-based Clarian Health and Estridge Homes.
Compendium was started in January 2007 by Chris Baggott, co-founder of the fast-growing Indianapolis-based e-mail marketing firm Exact Target, and Ali Sales.
Compendium was launched with $225,000 from local angel investors, then raised $1.1 million locally in July last year.
