Longtime Community Health Network CEO Bill Corley will retire at the end of 2009, according to an internal memo he released to employees today.
Corley, 65, has held the post since 1984.
A search committee has been formed to seek Corley’s successor. It will consider internal and external applicants, the memo said.
Corley said in the memo that he will join the Cambridge, Mass.-based Institute for Healthcare Improvement following his retirement. The memo does not specify what role he will have with the not-for-profit, which attempts to improve health care.
Community Health Network includes campuses on the east, north and south sides of Indianapolis, as well as Community Home Health Services. The network provides care at more than 70 sites in central Indiana.
