Hamilton County boasts good schools, low-priced housing and cost of living, and fairy short commutes, the magazine said.
The ranking included counties with at least 65,000 residents. Hamilton has 250,000.
Good schools were given high priority.
Aside from “mediocre” air quality, Hamilton County “offers eight quaint communities, a terrific school system, a short commute and low crime,” Forbes said, adding that the $200,000 average house price is a “steal” compared with the $901,900 average for Marin County in the San Francisco Bay area.
