Alaska Airlines adding seasonal flight from Indy to Seattle

Alaska Airlines plans to add a seasonal nonstop daily flight from Indianapolis to Seattle starting in the spring, the Indianapolis Airport Authority announced Monday.

The flights from Indianapolis International Airport to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport begin May 21. They will feature local departure times of 8 a.m. and local arrival times of 6:30 a.m.

The earlier times are expected to compliment the existing Alaska Airlines flight to Seattle, which departs Indianapolis at 6:30 p.m. daily.

Since entering the Indianapolis market in 2017, Alaska Airlines has carried more than 160,000 passengers from central Indiana to the West Coast, the airport authority said.

Alaska Airlines has been recognized the past 12 years as the highest-ranked airline in customer satisfaction among traditional carriers by the J.D. Power North America Airline Satisfaction Study.
