LOL, …you have to buy US made unless the material costs too much, then you don’t!
Steel price just went up 25% with the price gauging to get Federal Dollars with no oversight. Again, the little guys will get screwed with higher prices.
LETS GO BRANDON
If only Obama hadn’t shut down the US coal industry, we could produce more steel. Funny how those things work together.
“… he’s betting that more domestic production will ultimately reduce price pressures …”. Sounds like he’s on vacation in Las Vegas … rolling the dice with hopes that a good number comes up. Will this be like petroleum products and fuels … with “more domestic production to ultimately reduce price pressures?” Still waiting for that to happen. Maybe he forgot to bring his lucky rabbit’s foot! What exactly is “new guidance”? … “Requirements” … with a process to ‘waive’ those requirements …” sounds totally political so he can claim he required “buy American” when in fact imported steel will be used for construction. The Associated Press rides again!
Do we wonder why we are experiencing high inflation?
The AP probably should have reworded the opening sentence: “The Biden Administration is taking a key step ensuring that inflation continues to rise …”
