  1. Braun has no business being our governor. A guy who ditched Jasper for D.C., and is now trying to 1) Impose D.C. Republican buffoonery on Hoosiers and 2) Sell out Jasper’s Downtown for a new highway that would help nobody but himself.

    Just a real clown.

    1. So a person elected to represent their state in DC, is actually “ditching” their home town for DC?! And Braun wants to “impose DC Republican buffoonery on Hoosiers”? This would be exactly what? Opposition to the Green New Deal, higher taxes, open borders, defund the police, transgenders in women’s sports, to name a few of DC Dems’ crazy policies! Meanwhile, McCormick is in the pocket of radical teachers’ union Prez, Randi Weingarten, who would dismantle school choice in Indiana. And you’re worried about a bypass in Jasper?

    2. Share some context on any of that. That you think Indiana had any transgenders playing sports tells me you don’t have a grasp on reality. It’s one of the few things the IHSAA had nailed to perfection.

    3. Steven J: if you’re going to throw a worthless insult at someone, get it right. Weingarten is president of the AFT. It’s ISTA (NEA) you tried to insult. Swing…and a miss. ISTA has heavily-invested in this election, and that’s their right. As for large campaign donations:

This guy–Richard Uihlein, a far-right billionaire election denier, who’s given one million dollars to Braun. A record for an individual contribution. What exactly does a donor get for a million, huh?

  2. Braun should win this race by 20 points, but it will probably be within 5 by the time it’s all said and done. This is objectively the worst state-wide campaign I have seen since Murdoch’s Senate race. Completely undisciplined, off message, poorly planned, mismanaged, and chaotic….

For the sake of Indiana, I hope he Governors better than he campaigns

    1. Given he can’t run for office without committing campaign violations every single time, it’s not at all surprising…

  3. “better education would lead to higher wages, which would fix the issue“

This line can be used for just about anything. McCormick’s plan for better education needs to go beyond teacher pay and limited school choice…

  4. So…this “news” article tries to let McCormick off the hook when Braun ties her to the “National Democrats” by saying she’s never held elective office as a Democrat….what does that matter??? She chose to brand herself by becoming a Democrat. Seriously, if Trump wasn’t popular in this state, how long do you think it would take Dems to link Braun to
Trump?? they won’t do that because it would only help Braun!
Democrats are radical on abortion, stand in the school door way to prevent poor black kids from going to the private school of their parents’ choice and will recklessly tax and spend if they ever get power in this state again! How often do we have to re-learn the obvious??? As for Braun….not a great campaigner …hope he’s a better governor.

    1. You know what stands in the way of poor kids going to the school of their choice? The state of Indiana being too cheap to help with transportation. If you want to escape IPS and go to (say) Center Grove or Carmel? Sure, if you can get yourself there. And how many of those kids can? Kind of convenient that omission, isn’t it?

Meanwhile you’re convinced that Democrats are radical in abortion … in Indiana, Democrats proposed a 15 week ban. Indiana Republicans implemented a zero day ban. Guess which polls better with Hoosier voters?

Don’t mistake the ineptitude of the Indiana Democratic Party for majority support for a zero day abortion ban.
