The Indiana State Department of Health on Saturday reported 3,188 new cases of COVID-19 and 50 more deaths.

Deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits for 104 straight days.

The state said 11,060 new individuals were tested Thursday in Indiana.

Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropped to 2,134 on Friday from 2,151 on Thursday. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.

The state said more than 419,000 Hoosiers have received their first vaccine shot and more than 94,000 have been fully vaccinated, but did not provide specific numbers. That’s up from the 87,506 Hoosiers who had been fully vaccinated through Thursday.

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day.

COVID-19 testing

New tested individuals: 22,966

Total cumulative tested individuals: 2,890,956

Cumulative positivity rate unique individuals: 21%

Seven-day positivity rate unique individuals: 18.6%**

Cumulative positivity rate all tests: 10.7%

Seven-day positivity rate all tests: 10.1%**

** The health department reports the 7-day positivity rates with a six-day lag to allow time for more comprehensive results.

Statewide totals (Dec. 14 – Jan 21)

First dose administered: 388,398 by Friday (increase of 25,950 from Thursday)

Fully vaccinated: 91,940 by Friday (increase of 4,434 from Thursday)

Marion County cumulative cases: 84,046 (increase of 445)

Marion County new deaths: 4

Marion County cumulative deaths: 1,335

Marion County 7-day positivity rate unique individuals: 18%

Marion County 7-day positivity rate all tests: 9.8%

Hendricks County cumulative cases: 14,401

Johnson County cumulative cases: 15,069

Madison County cumulative cases: 10,965

Boone County cumulative cases: 5,511

Hancock County cumulative cases: 6,697

Indiana intensive care unit usage

Available ICU beds: 26.8%

ICU beds in use by COVID-19 patients: 22.1%

Available ventilators: 74.7%

Ventilators in use for COVID-19: 9.3%

U.S. deaths: 415,005

Global cases: 98,424,940

Global deaths: 2,113,375

*New cases, deaths and tests are previously unreported cases, deaths and tests submitted to the Indiana State Health Department in the 24 hours through 11:59 p.m. the previous day. The cases and testing categories typically contain numerous duplicates—as many as 20% or more—that are later eliminated from the cumulative totals.
