Two developers are teaming up on a 34-acre, $72 million mixed-use real estate project on the west side of Noblesville, near the Midland Trace Trail, the city announced Wednesday.

Midland Pointe Development, proposed for the southeast corner of State Road 32 and Hazel Dell Parkway, is a joint venture between Indianapolis-based Secure Holdings LLC and Carmel-based Old Town Companies LLC.

The proposal, which has the support of Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen, will be presented to the Noblesville Common Council at its May 24 meeting. If approved, construction is expected to start later this year.

The proposed project includes 40,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, townhomes, an event lawn space, a park and a pond overlook.

“Midland Pointe brings immediate density and energy, connecting the trail to an eclectic mix of commercial, residential and green space,” Jensen said in a written statement. “Midland Pointe also achieves the desired outcomes of the 2020 Noblesville Comprehensive Plan by creating mixed development nodes that offer convenient shopping and dining, and enhance multi-use transportation options, including pedestrian connectivity to the nearby trail system.”

Noblesville said plans call for a Crew Car Wash, fuel station, bank and other retail. A restaurant with outdoor dining is proposed at the eastern edge of the development for access to the Midland Trace Trail. The southern portion along the trail would include stacked flats and townhomes.

  1. I figured all of the grating between Gray and Shady Nook was going to be for another M/I, Lennar, Et al neighborhood, but instead another four floors of residential living space above a single story retail space. How unique and novel to the area.

  2. Another gas station, bank, car wash and apartments. Great recipe for urban density crime. At this rate, our mayor will engineer his own political demise by packing Noblesville with democrats.

    1. I guess you don’t want any of “those” people in town? And I hope you are talking about lower income people.
