While the regulations have pros & cons, and most people who take advantage of the credit extended dislike them, what really is bothersome is that the President can change the law on a whim through admin regulations. Isn’t this something that Congress should decide, or have Congress persons become so afraid of making a decision that they abdicate their jobs in favor of a nameless bureaucrat to do it for them. The Constitution once stood for the proposition that Congress passed the law, not the President, or the bureaucrats. WWII changed that and the Supremes abdicated on the issue.

It’s very unsettling how much power the President is now yielding to
change law and policies. Why isn’t Congress examining this and
revising these laws.
The scary part is that people are ok with the President acting as a dictator.
