What’s the difference between “additional federal oversight” and “strictly forbids”? Our national security…that’s the difference. This bill is weak and ineffective at protecting our country. Nothing short of a full ban on adversaries owning land in our country will protect us.
And the Indiana bill that was passed last year still allows adversaries to own 49% of the land in Indiana. Although what you will read in the media never discloses that fine point. Again, anything less than a full ban is still holding the door open for our adversaries.
