  1. The post WWII GM would have tackled the vent project with gusto and without reservation. GM management has been the impediment to success since the late 1970s. GM only has itself to blame for its inability to pivot to meet new challenges. Firing most of its senior managers would be a good start.

  2. “Bigger tax credits to buyers of union-made electric vehicles”. Our federal government picking the winners and losers is getting very old. It’s favoritism. It’s corrupt. It’s quid-pro-quo. It’s discriminatory. It’s unethical. We have more new executive positions of diversity, equity and inclusion than ever before. Where is the outcry of favoritism?!? This is an excellent example of one of the many reasons that fuels the movement toward smaller government. Tax payers are fed up with the brazen, outright corruption.

    1. The federal government has long “picked winners and losers” through the tax code. Historically when Republicans were running the government the winners were the wealthy who got huge tax cuts, while the Democrats would favor the middle class with wage and tax laws.

    2. Amen Mark! Too bad Brent is still playing political blame game. If he checked actual history the Dems have controlled congress about 50 of the last 60 years.

  3. If GM really wanted to show off an ability to pivot, it would have restarted making computer chips and motherboards in Kokomo to avoid a production shortage. But that would have involved giant slices of humble pie for executives to swallow, when it came to admitting how carelessly greedy it was to spin all that off and lose control of their supplies.
