Great call if the foreign adversaries bill.
“On” the bill…..
Glad to see the foreign ownership bill passed. Just wished the General Assembly would passed a bill with broader scope, i.e requiring reciprocity between countries.
Foreign funded corporate landlords buying up our residential properties is not addressed in this bill . Why not ? Maybe because Indiana is a refuge for bad landlords funding our politicians.
Indiana. A state that meddles (in the affairs of it largest city).
So we are worried about foreign countries buying our land, but we don’t care the least bit about out of state companies who own apartment buildings deciding they want free rides when it comes to making everyone else pay for downtown services.
Meanwhile, when the low barrier shelter doesn’t work out, just remember … they’ve changed the governance structure so that Republicans have all the control, while Democrats will take the blame.
So just remember when Republicans decide to impose drug tests and work restrictions and mandatory chapel services and all the same rules that have created a class of homeless who aren’t in existing shelters … just remember who’s in charge. And some of you fall will for it, the same who love to blame potholes on Joe Hogsett.
LOL. IBJ, you should hire Joe B, he represents you perfectly. Looking forward to his columns on how States and Cities with Democrats in charge have no vagrant issues
Chuck says that to the guy who wants to prohibit people from living in public about a year after that shelter is up and running. Of course, I’m the guy who also feel strongly enough about that to pay for it.
Most of the rest of you develop alligator arms as soon as something might require you dare spend a cent. Gladly write a big check to Brian Bosma to twist some arms, but not a penny for “those people”…
I’m all for the Republican plan to deal with vagrants.
