Lacy Johnson is a partner in Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP’s Public Affairs Strategies Group and partner in charge of the firm‘s Washington, D.C., office.
He served on the Biden-Harris transition team and was a member of Vice President Kamala Harris’ Midwest finance team. In 2021, President Joe Biden appointed him as an at-large member of the Democratic National Committee.
Johnson led the development of the first Greenfield airport when he served as president of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. Before his private legal practice, Johnson served as a lieutenant colonel in the Indiana State Police, was a lieutenant commander of the U.S. Naval Intelligence Reserves and served as the 7th District chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party and as a delegate for the Democratic National Committee.

On leadership
It is always best to lead by example. Be humble. Treat your team the way you want to be treated. And always, always give someone a hand up and ask them to do the same for someone down the line.
