    1. I can see doing it April 19th, or if they extend the mandate. But all indications are it’s going away.

The permanent injunction is the issue, mandating that masks can never again be a option. It’s a very odd pro-life position to take.

    2. It is called a pro-virus position.

It still scores points with the base, but like most things Rokita does it is meaningless at this point, but will hamper some future government response.

This supports the new Republican party platform, eliminate anything good the government might do, right up getting rid of social security and raising taxes on the middle class, while defunding the tax police so that the top 10% don’t pay at all.

    1. Given that the only way masks are helpful is if you believe in miasma theory, there’s nothing anti-life about eliminating them.

Or is the party of science now considering bloodletting as a reasonable palliative therapy for various maladies?

Which of the four humours should be expunged to rid ourselves of consumption, piles, lumbago, or the venery?

    2. Says the party which isn’t just anti mask, not just anti COVID vaccine, they’re anti-all vaccines now. Maybe the hats should say Make Polio Great Again.

Witness the number of fights across the country in which bills banning all vaccine mandates were introduced at the state level and the best case scenario was that the final bill was limited to the COVID vaccine.

America has a long history of fearing progress and leaning into FUD.
