The health department reported six new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative total to 13,512. The state has averaged three deaths per day from COVID over the past seven days.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropped from 450 on Monday to 415 on Tuesday. Hospitalizations are down from a recent high of 1,019 on May 4. The pandemic-high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 2.87 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 after a daily increase of 4,700. More than 2.84 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day. The department no longer issues reports on Saturday and Sunday.

I keep seeing that 2.87M are fully vaccinated and 2.84M have had their first shot. I think that must be vice-versa?

I assume fully vaccinated takes into account the single dose J&J shot.
Could you please add back in the “Total cumulative tested individuals” in future posts? (I find that tests per day is not a reliable figure.) Thanks in advance for your consideration of this request,
