Individual responsibility like having the unvaccinated pay the full freight for their hospital care sure seems like a free market solution to the issue.
One could almost feel bad for the GOP. It’s as though they time their pushes to “end the pandemic” with every wave of increased cases. It’s almost as though the virus does what it wants and doesn’t care about their messaging.
What I don’t understand is why the GOP wants Holcomb to end the executive order so much. There’s really not much in it. There’s no mask mandate, no capacity restrictions for businesses, no vaccine mandate, etc. It’s not like Holcomb can declare the pandemic over with the stroke of a pen.
It’s the symbolism more than the substance. That’s the bottom line for today’s GOP. Besides, I suspect all these folks are more worried about getting primaried by someone even further right than they are.
